01
Top leather making—more than empty words
Since its establishment in 1950, DANI, as a renowned high-end leather manufacturer in Italy, has a 69-year tradition of handing its entire production process in-house, from raw hides to finished products.
The first tannery in the world to obtain a Product Carbon Footprint and Environmental Product Declaration certifications, DANI s.P.a. has always adhered to 100% Made in Italy and does its own research and development on sustainable leather products. It has such international, authoritative certifications as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, IATF 18001, ISO 14025, RAL UZ 148 and RAL-GZ 430 as well as the LWG certification from the Leather Working Group, which sets and audits the highest environmental compliance and performance standards for the entire leather industry.
The original ecological cowhides manufactured by DANI in Italy and imported to China come from carefully selected, bred and castrated bulls. These hides have few scars, their fiber is dense and the natural texture of the neckline is maintained. The high elasticity and soft touch are comfortable, skin-friendly, breathable and moisture-wicking. DANI leather, imported directly from Italy, has been created with Italy's unique leather processing technology. It is tough, wear-resistant, aging-resistant, waterproof and highly flame-retardant.
With regard to environmental protection and safety, DANI’s production and tanning have the Zero Impact label (the leather does not contain chromium or heavy metals), and significantly reduce odors and carbon dioxide emissions. Each hide goes through a special dip-dye process for three days and three nights before entering the next production process. More than 500 colors, customized services, and fast delivery within 72 hours meet the needs of different groups.

Dani cowhides imported from Italy stand out above those from other countries.
Why? Let’s first have a look at the breeding environment and animal husbandry conditions in Italy.
Due to the low temperatures in Europe, cattle live at high-elevation all year round, where fewer mosquitoes mean fewer bits and scars. In addition, Italian animal husbandry stands at a high level of development. The pastures are mostly semi-free roaming, leading to fewer skin injuries and scratches. Cows that grow up with music have firm leather with a great touch. Cattle living in tropical countries with hot and humid climates and tougher environments tend to have hides with more bites and scars. Local cattle herds generally have hump and skin diseases that affect the quality of their hides and limit their applications. Therefore, Italian leather stands for high-end and high-quality.
Imported original ecological DANI cowhides from Italy mostly come from calves that are two to three years old, their prime age when their skin’s properties and texture are at its best. The pores are small and the hides consist of thin layers, as a cross-cut of the hide will show. DANI’s cowhides count 11 layers, while Chinese cowhides have only eight. Thus, imported leather from Italy has several important advantages over local leather in terms of resistance. Even if used for many years, just a little daily care will suffice to avoid excessive creases and maintain a fresh look.
In addition, Italy boasts over a thousand years of leather tanning tradition and refined processing techniques, nowadays combined with the world's most advanced equipment, which altogether lend DANI unparalleled technical advantages. No chemical reagents are used, no coatings applied, and the original textures of the leather are fully retained. This type of tanning also causes the least harm to the human body. Chinese factories, however, often use a lot of chemicals to preserve the hides, which greatly reduces the textures of the leather.
After liming and tanning, mechanical actions are limited in order to minimize damage to the leather’s grain, which looks cleaner and leaves the leather’s elasticity intact. The traditional wax sealing process also emits a unique fragrance. Everyone at DANI’s takes every step of the process extremely seriously. For them, leather is not just a material, but part of their heritage, way of life and professional pride.

Breathable executive chairs
Top managers have a lot going on every day, decisions to make and clients to meet. Therefore, their chairs should offer seating comfort and lend prestige. In China’s domestic market, most executive chairs are old-school or non-mainstream in appearance. On the one hand, heaviness will give people a sense of awkwardness and depression, while on the other hand, a shape that is too thin or odd will be incompatible with the charisma they need to radiate. How to solve this problem? SITLAND, the top Italian furniture brand might be an answer.
"Design comes from real life experience, and in this fast, tech-driven world, we often overlook this point of departure. Since its establishment in 1977, it has evolved from a manufacturer of train chairs and hair salon chairs to a trailblazing developer of ergonomic office chairs made of the world's top fabrics in combination with unique traditional craftsmanship. Every stitch, every thread, every detail cared for makes their every chair a gem polished with sincerity and sweat. With our simple yet luxurious chairs, we hope to bring comfort and texture to their users, as warm as home," said a SITLAND spokesperson.
When looking for a leather supplier for its executive chairs, SITLAND found DANI, the bespoke Italian leather supplier, whom it commissioned to supply original ecological cowhides from Italy, manufactured with classic Italian craftsmanship, for use in its high-end luxury goods. Its international vision and focused exploration of domestic and foreign cultures give SITLAND a unique brand profile of understated luxury and dignity. Its products are favored by royalty and nobility in various countries and occupy an important position in the international market. SITLAND is sold and trusted in more than 80 countries and regions such as New York, Washington DC, Stockholm, Madrid, and Dubai.
The internationally renowned master designers Fiorenzo Dorigo and Philippe Starck designed a next-gen executive chair that combines function and aesthetics. The chair is noble, elegant, and has a sense of speed as well.
The exquisite fold design of the back of the chair stems from the creativity of Fiorenzo Dorigo. Precise hand-sewing enhances the stylistic beauty of the contours. The ergonomic chair with integrated armrests is supported by a full steel frame, stable and strong. The exterior is upholstered with a first layer of cowhide imported from DANI, which has super breathability and a delicately soft touch. The interior is filled with preformed polyurethane memory foam, which returns to its original shape when you stand up. In terms of color, texture, durability, and ease of care, this is a major innovation in leather chairs. It has become known as the "breathing executive chair". This chair is a market leader for business leaders.
The unique metal hollow casters lend the chair a sense of lightness and speed, ad is considered another design highlight. The famous French designer Philippe Starck signed off on the design for these hollow castors, so different from the common solid casters. His creative inspiration came from the shape of Lamborghini tires: "Chasing big business, you need speed and go all out "This exciting high-end design strengthens the center of gravity of the chair, prolongs its service life, and overcomes the typical issues with solid casters: quick wear-down, difficulty rolling, and bloated look. This is a surprisingly fresh take!
Times of high pressure, and of unlimited possibilities. "Made in Italy" is synonymous with high-end lifestyles, not only because these products have an authentic European classical style, but also because their Italian makers take every piece of furniture as serious as art and life. Never following, nor imitating, SITLAND only uses the world's best fabrics and hides to create unique handmade originals. This attitude and belief are what unites every manager and craftsperson at SITLAND.
