Niels Gammelgaard

A well-known Danish product designer, and the first foreign designer hired by NOROST, he is in charge of designing new furniture pieces in the Holy Marble Collection. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1944, he graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Arts, and has focused his work on product design, working for numerous famous furniture brands, such as Fritz Hansen, IKEA and many Scandinavian brands. His designs have won many important awards, such as Utmarkt, Red Dot and the Danish Design Council Award.

Ulrich Heegard

NORDST founder Ulrich was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. His early experiences in the furniture industry prompted him to devote himself to furniture design and materials. His early work in these areas has become a lifelong passion, which never ceases to inspire him. Over the course of more than ten years of study and practice, Mr. Ulrich has made his design skills more exquisite. In 2016, NOROST creatively designed a range of pieces that celebrate the unadorned and beautiful Scandinavian lifestyle. In 2018, the studio’s PURE tables from the T-Large Collection won the Most Innovative Design Award at Design Shanghai 2018.

Arne Christiansen

Founder of the renowned Australian leisure furniture brand WOODMARK, Arne Christiansen has remained humble and never even calls himself a designer. Raised in Denmark, the country of design, Arne was spoon-fed design from a young age. Although he never majored in design, Arne's home furnishings reflect unique design concepts. Among the many furniture pieces in his collection, Arne is the most proud of his Partner Chairman dining table. Its design follows a minimalist artistic style, in which every detail of craftsmanship and technology is considered and exploited to an extreme measure of refinement and care. To this day, this classic dining table never fails to charm and legacy is bound to endure.

Zhang Zhongyu

After taking a Master’s degree from the Royal College of Art in the United Kingdom, she went on to Paris to pursue studies in communication at the study as a graduate student, and went to the Paris School of Visual Arts. She worked as a design researcher at Fugext Design Studio and was also a product designer for CortlandPartnersd and InkeyDesign. She participated in the Work in Progress Show (RCA, London), 2018 RCA Final show, London Design Festiival2017, Blindspotsexhibition, etc. She joined the Side furniture company as a product designer in 2019, whose original furniture was featured in AD Magazine, and her work was shortlisted for the Golden Pin Design Award and HAY!YoungBirds! for young Asian designers.

Peng Chunü

Graduated in 2016 from the Home Product Design Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2016, and has worked in office furniture design ever since. As a young designer, she has a curiosity and sensitivity for new things. In this era of information overload, knowledge transfer and creativity training in regard to space are facing increasingly demanding requirements. People are beginning to resist ordinary office spaces. Amid monotony, people long for change, and design can deliver that through achieving harmony among places, products, and people. This balance of design and craftsmanship is an important principle followed by Peng & Partners.

Van Chen

Active in the design field for 15 years, he has worked and studied in Taiwan, California and Shanghai. He has a deep understanding of design from concept development all the way to implementation, which allows him to back-engineer and revise his under-development designs to ensure optimal structure and assembly. Thanks to his work experience across such a variety of fields, his designs cover everything from precision electronic equipment to furniture to indoor spaces. Van believes that design needs to stay connected with people from the concept phase to product implementation to enable design to make contributions to a better life.

Says Who Studio

The Says Who studio was founded in 2010 by Kasper Meldgaard and Nikolaj Duve. Inspired by Nordic minimalism and the Danish design style, they focus on human touch and functionality Taking a solution-focused approach, they applied their design creativity mainly to furniture, such as seating, sofas and dining tables.


Hans Thyge Raunkjaer

Famous contemporary Danish designer, graduated from the renowned Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture. His accomplishments in seating design enjoy worldwide acclaim. He has won numerous awards throughout his life: Forsnäsprisen Award (2000), Home Furnishing Award (2005), etc. Today, Hans' design masterpieces are sold and enjoyed around the world. In 1990, Hans founded Hans Thyge & Co design studio, and has since built up a team of designers with passion and strong design perspectives. It is now one of the leading design studios in Denmark.
